Our mission is to Help, Build, and Inspire communities to understand, include, and empower children with autism, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disabilities.
We strive to:
Help families and caregivers access knowledge, therapy, and support.
Build inclusive systems through partnerships with schools, local authorities, and community networks.
Inspire acceptance, dignity, and equal opportunities for every child, regardless of ability.
Through advocacy, awareness, and capacity-building, ICF seeks to transform attitudes, improve access to services, and ensure that every child enjoys their right to education, inclusion, and love — as enshrined in the Children’s Act (2022) and the Persons with Disabilities Act (2003).
Meet Our Founder
Makena Brandon founded Inspire Child Foundation (ICF), which was initially established as Heart for Children, aimed at promoting awareness, inclusion, and support for children with autism, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disabilities.
He is also the author of the book “The Future: Towards Understanding and Transforming Autism,” which explores new perspectives on awareness, acceptance, and empowerment for children and families affected by autism.
Through his leadership and advocacy, Brandon continues to inspire change and champion the rights of children with special needs across Kenya.
